My name is Niveditha Kalavakonda. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington. I am affiliated with the Biorobotics Lab, and work with Prof. Blake Hannaford in the field of Robotics and Computer Vision. I focus on applications in rehabilitation and surgical robotics.
I am also one of the Fellows for Laboratory for Analysis of Motion and Performance (AMP Lab), a joint initiative between the College of Engineering and School of Medicine at University of Washington, Seattle.
My current research interests are Computer Vision, Robotics, Haptics and Control systems. I have also worked on projects in Virtual/Augmented Reality and Game Development. If you have a project that needs a roboticist, that’s where I come in!
I am also passionate about introducing children and young adults to the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). I work on hobby projects to enable hands-on involvement with technology.
