On 17th of February, we started our workshop by trying out different Virtual Reality applications on Google Cardboard. We then went on to get familiarized with the Unity3D Editor. By making use of the Vuforia SDK, we developed an augmented reality application that we exported to our android phones. This was to view a simple character in relation to a fiducial marker.
The virtual reality application we developed was specifically for Google Cardboard. It used head tracking to enable users to navigate through a maze that we designed from scratch.
It was great teaching high school girls about Unity3D and XR development in the Ada Lovelace room!
